HUMANISM AND ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION 2022
International Conference on Humanism and Ecological Transition
Welcome to the international congress on humanism and ecological transition
The European Association of Free Faculties (AEFLib), the Catholic University of Avila (UCAV), the Institute of Comparative Philosophy (IPC), the Catholic Institute of Higher Studies (ICES), the Catholic Institute of Rennes (ICR) Universitat Abat Oliba CEU and the Katholische Hochschule ITI (ITI) invite the global community to the International Conference on Humanism and Ecological Transition to be held on 21-22 October 2022 in Ávila (Spain), both in person and virtual.
Over the last two decades, a number of international meetings have taken place which have highlighted the need to address environmental problems jointly. As a result of these meetings, legislative initiatives have been approved that seek to achieve various environmental objectives for the years 2030 and 2050.
In this firm commitment to sustainability, the question arises as to the place of the human being, who is in danger of being blurred. In this sense, the International Conference on Humanism and Ecological Transition aims to reflect on how modern societies can develop fully in harmony with the natural environment and, at the same time, to vindicate the centrality that the human being should have in this process.
The Conference is structured around 5 topics and themes that seek to bring together the different dimensions of the challenge of an ecological transition centred on the person: Economy, Science, Education-Psychology, Law and Philosophy-Theology.
We invite all researchers from all over the world to attend the Conference and to submit a paper proposal along the lines of the above-mentioned topics.
